  1. Cliche’d advice is NOT helpful. Just as the article demonstrates, there are too many holes in each one. They’re coming from nowhere tangible and often perpetuated by people who don’t have a deep understanding. What IS helpful is to get advice from someone who is invested in your success, so then they can be there to see the outcome of their own advice.
