Breaking Through Burnout with BossedUp

A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to meet with Emilie Aries, Founder and CEO of BossedUp, an innovative personal and professional training organization that helps women craft sustainable careers. I was drawn to her story of navigating her way out of burnout, an issue facing many Idealists at almost any stage of their careers. We talked extensively about our experiences working in the career development space and encouraging professionals to discover their paths to their best selves. It didn't take long for the conversation to turn to that oft-dreaded condition: burnout.

After years of working in the political sphere and fighting for causes and candidates she believed in, Emilie realized that putting the same commitment into herself was the only way to sustain the go-go-go pace she was sprinting. The work she did on her own development and self-care formed the basis of BossedUp. In collaboration with experts, academics, and an array of professionals, she crafted the curriculum for BossedUp Bootcamp, a transformative weekend that helps professional women get unstuck and develop certainty of their next steps to happiness in all areas of their lives.

Launched in Washington, DC, the Bootcamp has been growing and making its way to other US cities, first in Boston and now in NYC! The BossedUp Power Hour gives locals a free, in-person opportunity to learn more about the BossedUp lifestyle, network with other women striving to lead their own BOSS lives and craft their dream careers.

I also encourage you to take the BossedUp or Burnt Out? quiz, and sign up for the free BossedUp Life Tracker.
