Open Thread | What’s Your 2019 Career Resolution?

As winter really kicks it into high gear (unless, of course, you’re in the Southern Hemisphere and just settling into summer, in which case, please take me with you!), it seems that New Year’s resolution season is upon us again!

And as you may have come to realize over the years, making a commitment to adopt a new habit or make a change is always more successful when there’s at least some level of accountability.

    One of my 2019 resolutions:

    Becoming an online fundraiser for various causes.

    Challenges: 1. Finding out information and avenues to get started and continue. 2. Funding to support myself and the operations.

    I am a first-time manager, and my New Year’s resolution for 2019 is to spend individual time each week with each of my direct reports. They’re great at what they do, but I want to make sure that I’m helping them get the support and opportunities they need to reach their professional goals.
