One thing we love about our community is the wide range of people and places it represents; after all, with over 9,000 jobs and 70,000 organizations on our website from around the world, we’re a pretty diverse group! But there are some places we want to strengthen our relationship with and help the nonprofit community in those areas thrive. So, over the next few months, we’re going to share opportunities and stories from nonprofits around the United States. In April, we’re focusing on Louisiana!

So who’s using Idealist to hire people and make a difference in the Pelican State?

  • City Year is an education-focused, nonprofit organization that partners with public schools to help keep students in school and on track to graduate. They fulfill their mission by bringing together teams of young AmeriCorps members who commit to a year of full-time service in schools. In addition to looking for next year’s corps members (due April 30th for Baton Rouge and New Orleans and check out the great blogs about their experiences!), they are hiring two Program Managers.
